A chief's wife

Sat her back to the sun

On the sandy beach, shredding cedar-bark.

Her fingers were slender

She didn't eat much.

 

"Get foggy

We're going out to dig

Buttercup roots"

 

Dream, Dream,

Earth! those beings living on your surface

none of them disappearing, will all be transformed.

When I have spoken to them

when they have spoken to me, from that moment on,

their words and their bodies which they

usually use to move about with, will all change.

욕(慾)의 계보

 

 

어릴 땐 노박이로 금욕이었지

항문으로 전기 먹은 듯

팽팽

혼자 생각 속에서

세상을 이겼어

 

제 고집 속에

하나밖에 없는 환(幻)을 만들어

제 나이만큼 절실하고

그 깜냥껏 황홀했지

 

눈꺼풀 떨어진 세상은 두서없이 절욕을 가르치더군

문자의 피로와 환멸을 배웠지

낙망과 반딧불이의 희망을 읽었지

제비 날개에 묻은

진흙의 사연을 알았어

 

타인들의 생활을 값없이 괴로워하며

고층의 움집 속에

월동(越冬)의 세월이 길었어

 

금욕은 시시하고

절욕이 답답할 즈음

잔풍한 뒷산 너머로

회임(懷妊)의 기별이 들려왔지

 

하아얀 의욕의 탄생을 알리는

별신(別神)

환(幻)의 너머를 재촉하는 내일의 환(幻)이었어
